This Photography Open Call address to professional photographers or confirmed amateurs, who are beginning to think the image in the context of a coherent series. This photography open call is free and open to all photographers, excluding members of the jury and their families. Participants in the contest must be the custodian of the rights related to the image and have the authorization of the identifiable persons in the photo. Each participant declares to be the author of the photo submitted.

Each photographer may submit up to three photographic series, of between 5 and 15 photos each.
The photos must be sent in digital format “JPG” as an email attachment to : [email protected]
We also accept sendings by wetransfer.
The size of the photos will be 1500 pixels for the longest edge.
Other information to be included in the registration mail
– Provide a commentary on your photographic series (Minimum 10 lines, no maximum limit). This comment may be brief, if the photographer so wishes, but it could also be have several paragraphs.
– Possibly add a small bio (optional)
– Indicate a link to your photo site. (website / flickr / instagram / pinterest / facebook / etc)
Entries not meeting these criteria will be eliminated.

ARTICLE 1- ORGANIZATION AND DATES OF THE COMPETITION
Aesthetics of Photography, Curated content on photography and contemporary art. The photography open call runs from February 22 2022 to May 22, 2022. Deadline for participation May 22, 2022 at midnight.
ARTICLE 2- THEME
The theme is free, the only condition being to present the images in the context of a series coherent of between 5 and 15 images, associated with a comment. This comment could be brief, if the photographer so wishes, but it could also include several paragraphs.
ARTICLE 3 – PHOTOGRAPHY OPEN CALL – CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
We address ourselves to professional photographers or confirmed amateurs, who are beginning to reflect the image in the context of a coherent series. This contest is free and open to all photographers, excluding members of the jury and their families. Participants in the contest must be the custodian of the rights related to the image and have the authorization of the identifiable persons in the photo. Each participant declares to be the author of the photo submitted.

No images will be used by the organizers outside of the contest.

ARTICLE 4: PHOTOGRAPHY OPEN CALL SELECTION CRITERIA
The photographs will be evaluated on their technical and artistic value by the jury. Special consideration will be given to those series that propose an original reflection in line with the plastic rendering of images.
ARTICLE 5: PRICE
The selected series will be published on our website:
https://www.aestheticsofphotography.com during a period of 12 months, with the commentary provided, as well as the links to the photographers’ sites.
Individual images / complete series, series synopsis will be shared by our social networks profiles (facebook / Instagram / linkedin / pinterest / Flickr / twitter)
ARTICLE 6: ANNOUNCEMENT OF RESULTS
Winners of the photography open call will be notified progressively, and each selected series will be announced in our website and also in our social networks.
ARTICLE 7: COMPOSITION OF THE JURY
It will be made up of three professional photographic artists.
ARTICLE 8: EXCLUSIONS
The competition organizers reserve the right to delete photos with a pornographic, racist, discriminating or of any other nature repressed by the laws.
The participant will not be able to contest the decision of the organizers.
ARTICLE 9: IMAGE RIGHTS
Each participant declares to be the author of the photo submitted. He or she also acknowledges having obtained the necessary authorizations for its distribution.
If the contest organizers wish to disseminate a photograph of one of the selected photographers in any way other than through the website https://www.aestheticsofphotography.com and/or by means of our social network profiles (facebook / Instagram / linkedin / pinterest / Flickr / twitter), an authorization will be requested from the photographer, who will be free to accept or refuse.
Aesthetics of Photography does not keep any right on the selected images.
The selected photographers will be free to ask Aesthetics of Photography for the withdrawal of their
exposed photos, without justification on their part. This request will be made by email, and
Aesthetics of Photography undertakes to respect it immediately.
ARTICLE 10: PHOTOGRAPHY OPEN CALL RESPONSIBILITIES
The organizers will not be held responsible for any problems related to the conduct of the contest whether it is a human, computer or other error.
In case of force majeure Aesthetics of Photography reserves the right to modify the present rules, to postpone or cancel the contest. Its responsibility cannot be engaged because of these modifications.
ARTICLE 11: OBLIGATIONS
Participation in this contest implies acceptance of these rules by the competitors. Failure to comply with them will result in the cancellation of the application.
Any dispute relating to the interpretation and application of these rules will be studied by the organizers, sovereign in their decision, in the spirit that prevailed at the conception of the competition.
