“One of the five kids in the car in Rio, it could be me,
Or Douglas who went to Jardim Brasil.
It could be me.
Another innocent killed at night and no one saw.
It could be me.
And in none of these cases’ did you feel anything, only if it were me! ”…

These are phrases from the song Estereótipo by MC RASHID, which influenced me in the creation of this portrait project called Somos Todos Alvos Aqui (We are all targets here).

In the photos, people use handicraft tools and everyday objects. With the inclusion of the items in the hands of the photographed, a metaphor is evidenced, remembering the black people from the periphery, who were brutally killed by police officers, who say they confused the objects with a firearm.
